Chinese Center from John Naisbitt University organized a one-day trip for students of Hebei Foreign Studies University during which they visited Faculty of Management in Zajecar. This faculty is a part of John Naisbitt University and one of its first accredited institutions. The hosts from the faculty for that day were Mr. Dragan Randjelovic – executive director, professor Dragan Mihajlovic – Dean of the faculty, professor Jane Paunkovic – Dean for international cooperation, as well as the representatives from students’ parlament – Marko Zikic and Deni Pavlovic. Katarina Zakic, the Director of Chinese Center and professor of Chinese language Natasa Kostic accompanied the students from China on the trip (more about this event: http://fmz.edu.rs/novi/kineskistudenti.php).

First, the students visited, a Roman emperor’s palace of Felix Romuliana, the archeological site in today’s village of Gamzigrad, nearby the town of Zajecar, which was built by Galerius (Roman Emperor), and named after his mother Romula. This emperor’s palace has been placed on the UNESCO list of cultural heritage since 2007 and represents one of the most important and most beautiful archeological sites in Serbia. On this occasion Chinese students learnt about the history of this archeological site, the way the palace was build, and its destiny in the upcoming years from a tour guide Mr. Sasa Marjanovic, and with the help of the translation of professor Kostic.

Chinese students also visited the National Museum of Zajecar. Mrs. Suzana Antic, vice director of the museum and guide Mrs. Adrijana Maksimovic showed museum to the students, and presented them the main historical events in the history of this region as well as the culture, tradition and customs of the Timok region (more about this can be found on: http://muzejzajecar.org/muzej/).

One of the main reasons of the Chinese students’ visit to Zajecar was to see The Faculty of Management, as the first educational institution of John Naisbitt University. Professors and students from Zajecar presented to Chinese students their programs that give quality education in the field of economy, management and law at bachelor, master and PhD degrees.

Chinese students enjoyed their visit, not only because of the places and buildings that they had an opportunity to see, but also because of the local food, which they liked very much (especially belmuz). They promised, if they returned to Serbia, they would certainly visit Zajecar again.

They also expressed gratitude to professors and colleagues from Zajecar, for hosting such a wonderful and successful day.

Media from Zajecar were also present at the faculty in Zajecar to record this visit. You can find more about it (a TV report), on next web sites:
