The Chinese Centre at John Naisbitt University is happy to announce that in the following eight months, i.e. throughout the academic year, nine students from China are going to study at our university. The students come from Hebei Foreign Studies University and the main reason for their arrival is learning Serbian. This university is well-known in the province of Hebei, primarily for their studies of foreign languages. In that sense, students who came here study French, German and Japanese in China. Hebei Foreign Studies University is preparing these students to volunteer in the next 16+ Summit that takes place in China in 2016 and they are going to help the Serbian delegation that is participating in this event.
On their first days at John Naisbitt University students had the chance to meet John and Doris Naisbitt, the founder of our University, professor Mica Jovanovic, rector Slobodan Pajovic and vice-rector Ana Jovancai Stakic. They expressed their extreme satisfaction with of the arrival of these Chinese people to Serbia and their choice of our university for their further educational advancement.
Sun Xinquan, Head of Education Department at the Chinese Embassy in Serbia also attended the meeting. He wished these students a lot of success in their work and he made them appropriate gifts for this occasion: Serbian-Chinese dictionaries.
The students will be publishing their articles on the website of the Chinese Centre throughout the academic year, in which they will write about their impressions on Serbia, its language and culture, as well as studying at our university. The students of Chinese at the Chinese Centre are going to assist them during their staying in Serbia and in classes they are going to help each other improve their language skills in both Chinese and Serbian.
