On 8th November, 2013, the Chinese Centre at Megatrend University received a present of 6,107 books in Chinese. It was a gift from the Embassy of the PR China in Belgrade and Han Ban- Confucius Institutes Headquarters in Beijing. The total value of the present is 243,361,00 Yuan’s, which equals 30,500,00 euro’s. We are deeply grateful to the Embassy of the PR China in Belgrade, especially to PhD Chen Yudong (陈玉东), former Attaché at Education Department of the Chinese Embassy, who chose and ordered these books for the needs of the Chinese Centre at Megatrend University, as well as the new Education Attaché for education at the Chinese Embassy, who received the books and forwarded them to the Chinese Centre.
Most books specialize in learning Chinese and we are particularly satisfied with editions made for learning business Chinese, which a large number of Megatrend University students are interested in. Besides, some of these books are Chinese editions and/or English on Chinese culture, economics, politics, diplomacy, cooking, civil engineering, science, philosophy, literature, medicine and history. The library is being prepared and it will be available not only to Megatrend University students but also to Serbian citizens that are interested in the Chinese culture.
