On Saturday, May 07, 2016, the 15th jubilee competition in the Chinese language was held called “The Chinese Bridge”. The competition was organized by the Department of Education of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China and the Chinese Center of “John Naisbitt” University.
The competition was opened and the audience welcomed by the speeches of Vice-Rector for International Cooperation, prof. Dr. Ana Jovancai Stakic, the Embassy First Secretary, Professor Sun Xinquan, and Mr. Wei, Managing Director of Huawei in Serbia.
The competition was attended by the students of “John Naisbitt” University, Faculty of Philology from Belgrade, Faculty of Philology from Novi Sad, The “Singidunum” University, Law Faculty from Nis, and The Vocational High School from Leskovac.
The students were divided into two groups: the amateurs and those with an advanced level of the Chinese language knowledge. Both groups competed in three categories: speaking, talent and the knowledge quiz on China, while the advanced level students competed in writing in Chinese.
The winner of the competition in the category of advanced level students was Katarina Andoljsek from Faculty of Philology in Belgrade, and she will participate in the world championship in China this year, where she will be staying for two weeks. The winner in the second category, Ana Banković from the Law Faculty in Nis, will attend the world competition in the status of an observer.
The program was conducted by Katarina Zakić, China Center Director, and Nataša Kostić, China Center Secretary. Serbian and Chinese students from John Nasbitt University together took part in the ceremonial part of the competition.
Chinese city in addition to students from the mentioned universities participated in the of the students of the University “John Naisbitt,” and that Serbian and Chinese together.
Our University was represented at the competition by the following students: Jelena Protic, Vladislav Pesic and John Loncar, who left a very good impression.
